Wanda Jackson – “Funnel of Love”

I’ve been listening to Wanda Jackson a lot recently. There’s just something about her gruff, nasally twang that continues to draw me back in again and again. This song in particular has been in heavy rotation as of late. I love how much swagger the track has. It feels like you can hear Jackson’s wry smile on the record. But as good as her vocals are, the instrumentation is stellar as well with its slinky refrains. Such a great song.
