UK Indie pop group Johnny Boy essentially had one shot to shoot, but damn if they didn’t make it count. It was originally released as a standalone single in 2004, but was eventually included on Johnny Boy’s one-and-done self-titled album. The title, quite literally, says it all. It’s an incisive skewering of capitalism wrapped in a trashy-chic, bombastic, electro-jangle pop package. Shame they couldn’t live up to the promise of their opening salvo.
